Job Overview

Due to the ongoing success of our business, we are currently recruiting for a Statutory Accounting Manager for our headquarters in Switzerland. This position will take responsibility for the quality and delivery of statutory and fiscal reporting for LKQ entities within Switzerland, as well as monthly group reporting under US GAAP for the LKQ Europe Supply Chain Company.

 

Reporting to the Director Controller Europe, this role takes a collaborative approach and works closely with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of accounting deliverables in addition to acting as the main point of contact for auditors and government requests.

About this Role

  • Providing quality and timely statutory and fiscal filings and delivering high quality and timely group reporting on behalf of our Swiss legal entities, in accordance with US GAAP
  • Preparing monthly tax provision and overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT returns for the for the LKQ Europe’s Swiss entities
  • Working closely with various internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that all transactions are compliant with Swiss financial regulations, to proactively manage tax risks and to ensure high quality input into statutory filings
  • Controlling work processes, procedures and results to ensure compliance with group accounting guidelines and relevant regulations, particularly SOX
  • Participating in activities relating to budget and forecast planning, variance analyses and tax audits

Skills and Experience

  • Holds a specialist certificate in finance and accounting for the Swiss Code of Obligations, or degree in Swiss business administration
  • Several years of professional and management experience in a similar position within a multinational environment or larger small-to-medium enterprise (SME)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS standards
  • Motivated and positive in order to support change and continuous improvement
  • Trustworthy and ambitious with a hands-on approach to delivering to deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset and prior experience working with a shared service center
  • Strong strategic-thinking abilities and a high level of problem-solving skills
  • Practical experience in working with and exchanging ideas with tax advisors and auditors
  • Fluent in German and English languages, both written and spoken.
