Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering financial insights to influence strategic decisions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on long-term planning, business strategies, and investment decisions

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes for logistics and group operations

  • Develop robust KPIs and financial models to support operational and strategic decisions

  • Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary, highlighting risks and opportunities

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners and Analysts

  • Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and support career development

  • Ensure consistent delivery of value-adding financial insight across the organisation

  • Drive inventory accuracy, optimisation, and working capital efficiency

  • Support business case development and ROI analysis for key investments

  • Champion best practices in stock management and demand planning

  • Lead cost-to-serve analysis and financial modelling to support logistics and automation investments

  • Monitor efficiency and productivity KPIs, ensuring cost control and financial accountability

  • Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance, and support audit processes

  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting, and tools

 

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Strong experience in finance business partnering, preferably in logistics or supply chain.

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory and working capital optimisation.

  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced business environment.
