Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including postings, variance analysis, and preparation of management account packs

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

• Prepare monthly accounts for small subsidiary entities and standalone divisions, including intercompany reconciliation and elimination submissions to support group consolidation

• Reconcile intercompany accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

• Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and support external audit requests to tight deadlines

• Contribute to group disclosure packs and financial reporting requirements

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws, supporting a robust internal control environment

• Support the tax team with transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany loan agreements

• Actively identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within intercompany and financial reporting processes

• Provide day-to-day support to the Financial Reporting Manager

• Deliver ad hoc financial support as required by the business

Skills and Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Proven experience preparing a full set of management accounts for a legal entity under FRS 102

• Strong experience supporting external audits and responding to audit queries within tight timelines

• Able to manage end-to-end intercompany accounting transactions

• Strong analytical skills with a solution-focused mindset

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting multiple deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders

• Able to work independently, use initiative, and manage competing priorities

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
