Job Overview

As the RFC Assistant Manager at LKQ Euro Car Parts, you will be responsible for the effective management of warehouse operations and stock quality, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints, service level requirements, and the operational controls of the Regional Fulfilment Centre (RFC). In this role, you will also support the development of a team that is focused on achieving operational excellence, with a strong emphasis on driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

·Assist in the day-to-day management of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods, while ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with company procedures.
·Support the RFC Logistics Manager in supervising and coaching warehouse staff. Lead by example to foster a positive working environment, ensure team productivity, and encourage development and engagement.
·Ensure accurate stock management by overseeing inventory counts, stock rotation, and the proper handling and storage of products to minimise shrinkage and damage.
·Monitor adherence to safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and ensuring all employees are trained in safe working practices. Promote a culture of safety to reduce workplace accidents and hazards.
·Maintain the quality of warehouse operations by ensuring that goods are stored and handled according to company standards. Work with the team to address any product quality issues promptly.
·Identify areas for process improvement and work with the RFC Logistics Manager to implement new systems or practices to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
 

Skills and Experience

·Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management capacity.

·Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

·Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

·Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.

·Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.

·Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
