Key Responsibilities

• Executing the sourcing strategy, supporting in all procurement activities, and coordinating the cross-category procurement activities with the European HoP, the Procurement team and the Category Management team.
• Taking responsibility for a dedicated range of suppliers and products and executing all related tasks with support from the HoP
• Performing supplier evaluations and benchmarking processes
• Reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions with assigned suppliers, ensuring alignment with specific guidelines
• Preparing regular reports relating to procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance for the HoP and senior management
• Collaborating with category management teams and colleagues to coordinate tasks effectively, acting as a point of contact for suppliers where knowledge of the local language is required
• Managing and providing guidance to remote teams and colleagues within Europe.

Skills and Experience

• Proven track record in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within a multinational environment, ideally in automotive procurement
• Able to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives
• Experience in Coatings Business, preferably in Automotive Refinish
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills in order to secure favorable terms with suppliers
• Ability to prepare detailed procurement reports, track cost savings, and analyze supplier performance
• Advanced skills in software such as Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using database applications such as Access is advantageous
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both internal teams and suppliers
• Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential with further European language(s) desirable.
