Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching and developing the field based teams
  • Managing the account manager performance via reviews, training, development in line with our company values
  • Meeting and understanding customer expectations to grow wallet share
  • Knowing and developing trade SMR, garage equipment and concepts to their potential and beyond
  • Maximising marketing initiatives and feeding back successes or missed opportunities
  • Creating strong leads and opportunities for all of LKQ Euro Car Parts channels, ensuring compliance across all marketing and promotional activity internally and externally
  • Identifying existing, lapsed and new business opportunities within branch specific geographical areas
  • Sharing Miller Heiman sales techniques with the Account Management teams to aid growing conversion and sales revenue.
  • Working closely alongside the regional teams, branches and head office support centre
  • Collating customer feedback to key stakeholders keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do
  • Responsibility for conducting customer account reviews with the Account Manager and branch management team with a focus on monthly spend, margin, credits, terms, maximising key product group opportunities, potential spend as well as business and garage equipment opportunities
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the automotive aftermarket
  • Organising and attending regional business specific customer events
  • Attending national and local training events.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven 1 2 1 management skills and a track record of developing sales
  • Experience of managing a remote team/field based team/multi site management
  • Ability to strategically analyse sales data to identify opportunities or areas for concern
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to interact and influence senior stakeholders
  • Be a self starter work autonomously with the ability to organise diaries and work remotely with extensive travel.
