Job Overview
We at Euro Car Parts (LKQ) operate T2, one of the largest automotive aftermarket distribution centres in Europe, spanning 1 million sq. ft. The site features semi-automated operations with roll-cage and tote systems, which play a key role in supporting high-volume, fast-paced distribution across our network.
The Control Room First Line Manager provides essential leadership and technical oversight to warehouse operations by overseeing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and automation platforms. Your primary focus will be to ensure operational continuity by reporting automation faults to the Engineering team, managing system-driven processes, and escalating technical issues to maintain the efficient flow of goods

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support a team of Control Room Operatives, providing coaching, direction, and performance management.
• Oversee WMS and automation performance, ensuring end-to-end operational continuity from Inbound to Outbound.
• Monitor, report, and escalate automation and system faults, coordinating with Engineering, IT, and external vendors.
• Maintain clear, real-time communication with operational and technical teams.
• Manage system testing, user access, and operational reporting to support decision-making.
• Act as the first point of escalation for operational, technical, and people-related issues.
Skills and Experience
• Strong IT literacy with experience using WMS, ERP, and automation systems.
• Proven leadership and people management skills in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including reporting to management and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to manage priorities, drive team performance, and support continuous improvement.
