Job Overview
We are pleased to be recruiting for a First Line Manager (FLM) to join our friendly and supportive operations team. As a valued member of our operations team, you will report to the Shift Manager. This vacancy is specifically for the Inventory team, where you will be involved successfully leading all aspects of inventory management including stock taking, stock rotation of fast-moving goods as well as high value stock management ensuring stock accuracy in our operations for our customers. This will enable invoices to be picked efficiently and with minimal error as well as minimizing stock loss in the business to allow our branches to continue to grow and develop

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of the warehouse always conform to health and safety legislation.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the work activities of the PI and Put away team through effective communication, leadership, motivation, training, and development.
- Manage stock accuracy in the operations by ensuring daily PI counts and annual stock take are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete all direct appraisals and probation reviews on time and to the required standard.
- Manage the team’s hours, sickness, holidays, and absences.
- People management responsibilities include training, planning, and assigning daily work.
- Delegate, empower and motivate your team to achieve KPI’s.
- Professional verbal and written communications to deal with senior managers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all agreed SLAs are achieved and maintained.
- Plan and manage your staff resources to optimize the utilization of labor and equipment.
- Play an active role in ensuring Hygiene and H&S are priorities with the teams.
- Ensure company policies are communicated and enforced.
- Embrace the company views ensuring they are adhered to by staff members.
Skills and Experience
- Shows initiative is results orientated and creative problem solver.
- Health and Safety in the workplace.
- Strong communication, motivational and leadership skills.
- Previous experience of working within an inventory or warehouse environment.
- Experienced in using MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective time management.
- Accurate with high attention to detail.
- Ability to provide feedback where required, supporting a ‘right first time’ approach.
- Team orientated – works well with other departments.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) Advantageous.
