Are you an experienced logistics leader with a strong Lean background and a passion for performance, standardization, and continuous improvement? As Regional Head of Logistics Excellence, you will lead the deployment of high-standard logistics processes, drive operational improvements, and develop a high-performing regional team. You act as the bridge between the European Logistics Development organization and regional operations, ensuring that LKQ’s long-term logistics strategy is translated into effective execution.

You will manage a strong team, including a CI & Process Standards Manager, a Regional Logistics Project Manager, and a Logistics Performance Analyst.
The position requires that you are willing to travel regularly between our three main locations: Rotterdam, Vilvoorde, and Paris. For this role, it is also necessary that you reside in one of these locations or in the immediate surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop and execute the Regional Logistics Development & Excellence Roadmap aligned with the European Lean Operating Model.
•    Lead the implementation of industry-leading logistics standards, policies, and procedures across all regional sites.
•    Define, monitor, and adjust operational improvement plans in collaboration with the EU Logistics Development team.
•    Implement Lean methodologies (VSM, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen) and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
•    Establish and manage internal training systems to build capability across the regional logistics organization.
•    Contribute to regional master planning and support the rollout of the European Logistics Strategic Plan.
•    Ensure adherence to standard Inventory Accuracy Policies and secure SOX compliance.
•    Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to safeguard inventory quality and accuracy.
•    Support the LKQ Europe Distribution Quality Strategy and participate in Europe-wide quality initiatives.
•    Manage logistics performance frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and corrective action plans.
•    Conduct root cause analyses and drive improvements in service, cost efficiency, and operational flow.
•    Support the development and deployment of the European WMS Strategy.
•    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional logistics excellence team.
•    Collaborate effectively with key regional and European stakeholders (Operations, Transport, EH&S, Network Development, COO, etc.).
•    Ensure professional communication and alignment across all levels of the organization.

Your Profile

Education & Experience
•    Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
•    7–10+ years of logistics or supply chain leadership experience in an international environment.
•    Strong Lean expertise; Lean Black Belt is a strong plus.
•    Experience with distribution center operations; automotive sector experience is an advantage.
•    Proven ability to lead large-scale improvement initiatives and manage remote teams.
•    Willingness to travel across Europe (40–50%).
