Job Overview

 As an RFC Logistics Manager at LKQ Euro Car Parts you are responsible for championing best in class Logistics and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence in our Rapid Fulfilment Centre (RFC).

You will report to the Divisional Logistics Manager to create, develop and drive performance and operational standards in line with the business plan, and ultimately ensure we deliver on our customer promise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a safety culture throughout the RFC by ensuring the logistics management team is accountable for Health & Safety compliance in line with all procedural and SSOW requirements, ensuring they are reviewed at appropriate intervals for best-in-class practices
  • Creating a customer focused mindset, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do
  • Achieving operational excellence by ensuring the RFC consistently meets its agreed service levels and standards
  • Helping to shape the controls and measures the RFC operation adheres to, by ensuring documented processes for all RFC operations and holding structured team briefings, to ensure continued operational improvement

Ensuring careful planning of all RFC operations to optimise cost effectiveness

  • Supporting the development of robust inventory processes to mitigate the risk of discrepancies and to building intelligent count routines targeting the products, locations and processes most at risk
  • Overseeing RFC adherence in relation to transport legislation and company vehicle procedures
  • Being proficient in route planning, achieving delivery on time and in full
  • Proactively owning and governing root cause analysis, identifying and implementing proposed improvement solutions in a timely manner
  •  Helping deliver on and suggest new initiatives to improve RFC operations for the division, such as WMS implementation, KPI dashboards on all service and safety indicators.
